So this Mother’s Day, we’re cooking breakfast for mom with the AXE Multigrain Pancake Batter — lovingly made in Northern California by inimitable chef and restaurateur Joanna Moore. If you know anything about it, you’ll know it’s developed a cult following at her eponymous restaurant throughout the years, and for good reason. These pancakes are made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients from small and local farmers. We recommend throwing a generous chunk of butter in a pan and cooking the batter slowly until achieving crispy edges. The result will be a nutty, moist dough that’s crunchy on the outside and that melts on the inside. Add Dark Vermont Maple Syrup, Harry’s Berries Strawberries, and voilá.

In This Set Cooking Instructions

Multigrain Pancake Batter (32 oz)
Made in small batches with nutritious ingredients including Alexandre Jersey milk from cows on pasture, eggs from chicken on pasture, Yecora Rojo stoneground flour milled by Central Milling. Comes frozen.

Dark Vermont Maple Syrup (8 oz)
The most decadent organic Maple Syrup, harvested from a collection of small farms in Vermont. This Syrup is incredibly dark in color, with a deep rich molasses flavor profile that cannot be found anywhere else.

Harry’s Berries Strawberries (1 lb)
Sweetest, ripest, first-of-the-season Strawberries from cult-following farm, Harry’s Berries (again, IYKYK).

This batter is made with fresh ingredients and then frozen. Remove from freezer the night before use. Once defrosted it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. To cook, preheat a skillet over medium-high heat, use oil of your choice (olive, vegetable, butter) and ladle batter into skillet. If batter is too thick, thin by adding water or milk for desired consistency. Let cakes cook until golden brown and firm to the touch. Enjoy with Maple Syrup and Strawberries.

Pancake Ingredients
Short grain brown rice, stone ground whole wheat flour, unbleached flour, Jersey milk, eggs, millet, oats, barley, rye, triticale, corn, vegetable oil, brown sugar, flax seeds, poppy seeds, baking powder, salt.

*All ingredients are free of pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, and growth hormones.
